William Neville Dowe, 44, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 16, 2025.
Born on February 18, 1981, in Willingboro, New Jersey, Bill was the beloved son of Timothy and Cathleen Dowe. He graduated from Immaculate Heart Central High School in 1999 and later attended Jefferson Community College. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge. Following his service, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Purdue University.
A devoted member of his community, Bill volunteered at the Hope Center in Lexington and taught GED classes for the United Way, making a lasting impact on many lives. He was deeply proud of his military service and remained grateful for the care and support he received from the VA throughout the years.
Bill is survived by his cherished son, Brandon; his parents, Timothy and Cathleen; his brothers, Michael and Tyler, and their families; his grandmother, Jean Dowe; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Funeral Mass and military honors will be held on Saturday, May 31, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Black River. Burial will follow in Black River Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Bruce Funeral Home, Black River.
