William F. Finnegan Jr.

William F. Finnegan, Jr., 79, a longtime resident of Brownville, New York, peacefully passed away February 6, 2024 at Samaritan Medical Center.

He was born on March 19, 1944, in Watertown, New York, to William F. and Margaret Grieco Finnegan, Sr. William graduated from Carthage Central High School and dedicated his career to New York Airbrake as a machinist until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and was a devoted patron of the Dexter Diner.

William is survived by his five children: John P. Finnegan, James Finnegan, Michael Finnegan, Robert J. Finnegan, and Diana Fromm. He is also survived by his brothers and their spouses, Patrick and Kathy Finnegan of Tennessee, and Timothy and Patty Finnegan of Watertown, and many granchildren, nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, William will be cremated, and a graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, June 24th in Black River Cemetery.
