Scott C. Davies, 55, of Watertown, NY, passed away January 9, 2026, following a brief and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Scott was born on April 21, 1970, in Syracuse, New York, the son of Loren and Dolores (Severance) Davies. He graduated from Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square in 1989. Following graduation, Scott worked for various businesses in the Syracuse area.
While living in Syracuse, Scott met the love of his life, Alexandra Melara. The couple was married on July 15, 2006, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Together they made their home in Watertown, where they raised their family. Alexandra works as a Physician Assistant with Samaritan Pulmonology in Watertown.
Scott was a devoted stay-at-home dad who lovingly raised his two daughters, who were his pride and joy. His wife and daughters were truly his whole world. He cherished every moment spent with his family, especially traveling together and creating lasting memories.
Scott enjoyed staying active and could often be found working out at Planet Fitness, where he formed many close friendships. He was an avid sports fan who loved cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Kansas City Royals, the 76ers and Syracuse University basketball. In the summer he enjoyed spending time at his in-laws cottage.
Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Alexandra R. Davies; his two daughters, Nicolette R. Davies and Isabella T. Davies; his mother, Dolores Davies of North Syracuse, NY; his brother and sister-in-law, Loren and Shannon Davies, of Liverpool, NY; and his nephews, Trevor and Liam Davies, Rochester, NY.
He is also survived by his mother and father in law, Roberta and Stanley Buzzell of Carthage, NY, his mother-in-law, Mary Melara of Watertown, NY; as well as his brother and sister in laws, Nicholas (Stacey) Melara, and their children,Emma and Sebastien of Harrisburg, PA; Mark Melara (Marisa) Rodriguez of Los Angeles, CA; Patrick Buzzell of Carthage, NY; Heather (Justin) Washburn, their children Adam and Jessa of Virginia; and David (Eunjoo) Washburn of South Korea.
He is predeceased by his father, Loren Davies who passed away in April of 2024 and his father in law, Ronald Melara in 2019.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 17th, from Noon to 2:00 P.M. at Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, 117 N. Massey Street, Watertown, NY. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
