Roger H. Miles

Roger H. Miles, 82, of Central Square, NY, passed away peacefully at the Syracuse Veterans Hospital on July 9, 2025.

Born on September 10, 1942, in Watertown, NY, Roger was the son of William O. and Berline (LaClair) Miles. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1961 and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from August 1961 to August 1965.

Roger married Nancy Millis, on January 17, 2010, in Geneva, NY. He worked at Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, NY, beginning on February 23, 1966, and retired in 1999 as a supervisor after 33 years of dedicated service.

A devoted community member, Roger was a Master Mason for 50 years with Lodge No. 622 in Central Square and a proud member of the American Legion, also for 50 years. He volunteered at the Constantia Bistro Senior Citizen Center and was known for his love of NASCAR and bowling.

Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy A. Miles of Central Square; two sons and a daughter in law , Richard and Nakeshia Miles of Houston, TX, and Ryan Miles of Ocala, FL; a daughter and son in law , Heather and Bradley Reigelsperger of Naples, NY; and five cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and their wives, Kenneth (Patricia) Miles of Dexter, NY, and Everett (Beatrice) Miles of Central Square, NY; a sister and brother in law , Beverly and William Jones, of Tampa, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Theresa, NY, on Saturday, August 9th at 10 a.m.  A celebration of life will follow at the Central Square American Legion from 2 to 5 p.m. A Masonic service will take place at 2:15 p.m. at the legion.
