Robert E. Pack, 67, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home, where he had been a resident.
He was born on September 7, 1958, in Manhattan, the son of James and Rebecca Mae (Hall) Pack. Robert attended school in Manhattan. Following his education, he began his career as a cook at the New York Daily News. He moved to Watertown, where he worked as a civilian cook at Fort Drum for several years until his retirement.
Robert had a love for life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed playing basketball, dominoes, and cards, cheering on the Yankees, and listening to music. He will be remembered for his quiet strength and the joy he found in spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his siblings, Leroy and Chevaughn Pack of New York City; Toni M. Brown of Watertown; and Bernell and Mercedes Pack of Watertown, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving parents and three siblings, Jeannie Pack, Otis Pack, and James Pack Jr.
Arrangements are entrusted to Hart & Bruce Funeral Home. In keeping with Robert’s wishes, he will be cremated. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Brookside Cemetery.
