Michael J Murray

Michael James Murray, 76, of Watertown, New York Michael James Murray, 76, of Watertown, New York, passed away on July 12, 2024, at his home. 

Born on March 14, 1948, in Watertown, New York, he was the son of Patrick and Madeline Palmer Murray. Michael graduated from Immaculate Heart Central in 1966. Following high school, he served in the United States Navy from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1968. He pursued higher education at SUNY Potsdam before transferring to the University of Buffalo, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He dedicated over 30 years of service to the Watertown U.S. Post Office before retiring. 

Michael is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John P. and Judy I. Murray, of Bradenton, Florida, and his two nephews and their wives, Todd M. and Jennifer Murray, and Tyson P. and Shannon Murray.  

In accordance with his wishes, Michael will be cremated, and a private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in North Watertown Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.
