Marshane E. DeMarco

Marshane E. DeMarco, 69, of Felts Mills, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on January 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County.

Born on July 4, 1955, in Lowville, NY, Marshane was the daughter of Gerald and Regina (Green) Crouse. She attended Glenfield Elementary and graduated from Lowville Academy. On October 12, 1974, she married the love of her life, Terrence H. DeMarco, in Glenfield, NY. The couple spent many happy years in Lewis County before moving to Watertown and eventually settling in Felts Mills in 2003.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Marshane dedicated herself to raising her family. When her children were older, she worked at the Ramada Inn in Watertown as a chambermaid until she could no longer work due to her battle with multiple sclerosis, which she courageously faced for 38 years.

Marshane found joy in crocheting, knitting, working on puzzles with her grandchildren, and spending time outdoors. Above all, she treasured the moments shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marshane is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Terrence H. DeMarco of Felts Mills; her children, Danita (Jason) Rodriguez of Chaumont, NY, Gena DeMarco of Felts Mills, Anthony DeMarco Sr. of Watertown, and Timothy DeMarco of Tennessee; 12 cherished grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; her siblings, Rhonda (Orlo) Norton of Glenfield, Gerald Crouse Jr. of Boonville, Kevin Crouse, and Dana Crouse of Rome; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are entrusted to Bruce Funeral Home. A celebration of Marshane’s life will be held at a later date, and burial will take place in Black River Cemetery.
