Mark Thomas Neukirch

Mark Thomas Neukirch, 61, of Watertown,NY, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024. 

Mark was born on May 9, 1963 to his mother, Jean Carol Neukirch, and his father, Otto Neukirch. After graduating high school, he served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne Division.

He is survived by his wife and person, Elaine Harrison Neukirch, with whom he parented multiple pets, played Scrabble, and enjoyed cocktails on the front porch during warmer evenings. He is also survived by his three daughters, Hanna and Maddy Neukirch, and Ruby Harrison, who he loved so much; and expressed it by making their favorite meals, teaching them about his favorite music, following trains in the car with them, and playing board games with them on snow days. 

Mark was stubborn and stoic, but had the best sense of humor. He furthered his education to obtain an associates degree in criminal justice at the age of 50. If you don’t know Mark for his time in the Army or in school, you may know him for one of his other claims to fame; Jefferson County Scrabble Champion, or Belt Sander Drag Racing Champion. 

Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.  Per Mark’s wishes, there will not be any services.
