Linda Ann Holder

Linda Ann Holder, 84, of Watertown, NY, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, at Samaritan Medical Center.

She was born on October 26, 1940, in Brownville, NY, the daughter of Edward P. and Janet C. (Giddings) Frasher Sr. Linda attended Sackets Harbor High School and later dedicated many years to volunteering at the Salvation Army in Watertown while raising her children. She retired from the organization in 2000.

Linda married Richard Holder, and together they had three children. Though the marriage later ended in divorce, Linda remained a devoted mother and grandmother throughout her life.  She was a very loving and caring woman who enjoyed being with family.

Among her survivors are her daughters and a son in law, Jeanette Jones of LaFargeville, NY, and Lynne (Rodney) Walworth of Watertown, NY; her daughter-in-law Veronica Holder of Dexter, NY; her brother and sister in law, Stephen (Sandy) Frasher of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Edward Frasher Jr. and Paul Frasher; her ex-husband and father of her children, Richard Holder Sr.; her son, Richard Holder Jr.; and a great granddaughter, Alicia.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 12, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, with a funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Dexter Cemetery on Saturday, May 17, at 12:00 p.m.
