Kelly A. Waters

Kelly A. Waters, 65, of Felts Mills, NY, passed away on October 24, 2024, at Samaritan Medical Center.

Born on March 20, 1959, in Binghamton, New York, she was the daughter of the late Murray and Irene (Casterline) Williamson, Sr. 

Kelly graduated from Harpersville High School in 1977 and went on to study at SUNY Oswego before joining the United States Army, where she served with dedication for nine years, earning an honorable discharge.

On July 27, 1984, Kelly married Roosevelt D. Waters of Winona, Mississippi, in Bel Air, Maryland. The couple shared a life of service, residing across the United States and Europe as Roosevelt continued his 26-year Army career. In 2004, they settled in Felts Mills, NY, where Kelly became a homemaker and focused on her many hobbies and family.

Kelly was known for her vibrant spirit and love of crafts, spending time quilting, creating ceramics, and working on glass projects. She was an avid fan of Michael Jackson and Donny Osmond and found joy in playing video games. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Roosevelt D. Waters, of Felts Mills, NY; her three children, Nikita Waters of Felts Mills, NY, Kimberly Waters of Colorado Springs, CO, and Nicholas Waters of Felts Mills, NY; and her four grandchildren, Harmony, Mikell, Lyric, and Kenneth, Jr. She also leaves behind six siblings: Susan (Mike) Lewis of Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, Kerstin (David) Dillard of Vestal, NY, Holly (Craig) Henry of Albany, NY, Craig Williamson of Binghamton, NY, Murray (Amy) Williamson, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jamie (Doug) Clark of Oklahoma City, OK, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, Kelly was cremated, and no services will be held at this time. Memorial donations may be made to the Felts Mills Fire Department. Condolences may be shared online at www.brucefh.com.
