Katherine Mack Obituary


Katherine Arlene Mack, 75,  a resident at Kamargo Apartments, Black River, passed away August 8, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital in Utica following a brief illness.

She was born on July 14, 1946, in Watertown, NY, the youngest of thirteen children of Earl and Ethel (Fenlong) Stanford. Katherine attended LaFargeville High School.  Following school she married Robert Mack in 1973.  The couple resided in Black River where she was a homemaker.  When her children were in school she held various jobs in the local area.  Her husband retired from Fort Drum, he passed away in December of 2003.

Katherine was a member of the Christian Life Church in Watertown, was a supporter of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and many grandchildren. 

Among her survivors are her six children, Donald (Donna) Holverson, Akron, OH, Deanna (Mark) Jackson, Watertown, NY, Tina (Brian) Propheter, La Monte, MO, Todd (Christina) Mack, Carthage, NY, Robert (Penny) Mack Jr., Carthage, NY and Wanda (Richard) Furniss, Carroll, OH; 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a sister, Deanna Evans, TX and a brother, Ambrose Stanford, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and beloved husband, Robert Mack, she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Arrangements are with the Bruce Funeral Home, Black River.  It was her wish to be cremated and burial will take place at a later date in the Black River Cemetery.
