Gloria J. "Tootie" Warner Obituary

Gloria J."Tootie" Warner,78, of Watertown, NY, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025 at the Hospice Residence at the Ellis Farm.

She was born on October 25, 1946, in Carthage, NY, the daughter of Robert and Lannah (Allen) Fleming.

Gloria attended Watertown High School and, following her education, married Carl Williams in 1963. The couple moved to Niagara Falls while Carl served in the United States Army. Together, they had four children. Carl passed away on October 2, 1985.

On July 2, 1989, Gloria married David Warner in Chaumont, NY. The couple  resided in New Jersey before moving to Parish, NY, in 1992, where they built their home.

Gloria was a dedicated worker and held a variety of positions throughout her life. She worked as a scheduling coordinator and receptionist at Uptown's From Hair On in Mexico, NY, and also provided private home healthcare services. She worked briefly at Home Depot in Dewitt, NY, and Clark American Checks in Syracuse, NY, until its closure. Her final place of employment was at Lowe’s in Cicero, NY, where she worked as a commercial sales cashier until her retirement due to an injury.

David, Gloria’s husband, has worked as a utilities arborist for LewisTree Service in West Henrietta, NY, clearing trees across the state after storms. In September 2021, the couple moved to Watertown to  be closer to family.

Gloria was a frequent visitor to local casinos, where she enjoyed her time as an avid gaming enthusiast. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and many friends. She also enjoyed listening to the Black River Fiddlers, dancing, and country music.

Among her survivors are her beloved husband, David Warner of Watertown, NY; her four children and their spouses: Michael and Lori Williams of Sussex, NJ, Tania and Jack Wilburn of Sanford, FL, Carl Jr. and Susan Williams of Boonville, NY, and Randy Williams of Watertown, NY. Gloria is also survived by 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many close friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert Fleming, in 2013.

Calling hours will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 29th at Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, with a memorial service immediately following at the funeral home.
