Ethel Margaret LaBouf, 76, of Watertown, NY passed away peacefully at Providence Place Assisted Living in Pottsville, Pennsylvania on Sunday, March 30th, 2025.
She was born on March 12, 1949, in Watertown, New York, the daughter of Cosmo and Evelyn (Wills) DelSanto. Ethel was educated at local schools and was a proud graduate of Jefferson Community College. On January 21, 1968, she married the love of her life, Richard C. LaBouf, in Watertown, where the couple made their home and raised their family at 120 S. Pearl Avenue.
Ethel began her professional career at Faichney's, which later became Cheesebrough-Pond’s and then Tyco Kendall Healthcare. She remained with the company for 40 years and concluded her service upon its closure in 2004.
In her younger years, Ethel was dedicated to her community and her faith. She served as a den mother for the Cub Scouts, taught Sunday School at both the Watertown Baptist Temple and the First Baptist Church of Watertown, and worked in the church nursery. A devoted member of the First Baptist Church, her faith and service were central to her life. Ethel also enjoyed ceramics and cherished time spent with her family.
She is survived by her four children, Kimberly L. Wiesenberg of Henrietta, New York, Timothy R. LaBouf of Wadsworth, Ohio; Jenny L. (Keith) Fessler of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, and Jamie L. LaBouf of Watertown, New York. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Carl DelSanto of Watertown and nieces and nephews.
Ethel was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard C LaBouf, who passed away on August 10, 2001, and her brothers, Kenneth DelSanto, Thomas Jenkins and Philip Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, at Hart & Bruce Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ethel’s memory may be made to the First Baptist Church and Watertown Baptist Temple, Watertown, New York.
