Donna graduated from Edwards High School before continuing her education at Jefferson Community College, where she earned an associate degree. She then attended the University of Brockport, graduating with honors with a bachelor’s degree, and went on to obtain a master’s degree in social work from the University of Buffalo. In the early 1980s, Donna became a master barber and worked at The Sportsman Barbershop to help fund her education. She took great pride in her craft and continued barbering for 40 years, retiring in December 2024.
