Born October 1, 1940, in Watertown, New York, the daughter of Charles and Clara (Madison) Davis. Dona attended school in Lowville and later embarked on a career selling Avon products. On January 3rd, 1959, she married the love of her life, Leo E. Keenan Jr, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Croghan, New York. The couple made Black River their home, where they spent their entire married lives. Dona dedicated herself to being a loving homemaker and worked for 26 years as a lunch monitor at Black River Elementary School before her retirement. Leo, a retired purchasing manager from Bomax, later worked as a salesman at Caskinette Ford in Carthage. Dona's commitment extended beyond her family as she served as a Girl Scout leader, volunteered for the PTO, and actively participated with her husband in several car clubs including the Highway Legends, and Northern Cruisers. They were also members of the Cosmopolitan Dance Club in Watertown. Dona found great joy in tending to her flowers, and painting ceramics. Known for maintaining a pristine home, she took great pride in being a supportive mother, attending every school event for her children and her grandchildren.
