Darryl L. Clark, 75, formerly of Great Bend, NY, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at his home in Carthage, surrounded by his loving family.
Darryl was born on November 12, 1950, in Watertown, NY, the son of Keith and Ruth (King) Clark. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1970. On May 1, 1971, he married Pamela S. Reid of Watertown at the Felts Mills Church of Christ. The couple resided in Great Bend for most of their married life before moving to Carthage in 2012.
Darryl worked an IT Tech, beginning his career with Jefferson County and Key Bank. He then went to Samaritan Medical Center, where he dedicated 24 years of service before retiring in 2007.
A man of deep faith, he became a lay speaker at Woolworth Memorial Church in Great Bend and was later asked to fill in at the Felts Mills Church of Christ. He eventually became a licensed minister and faithfully served that church for 30 years. Darryl was also a sign language interpreter at the hospital and volunteered his skills at various churches throughout the area.
Pamela was a devoted homemaker, and together they built a loving family and life centered around faith. Darryl enjoyed reading and cooking Sunday meals for his family and was very active in church activities throughout the years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Pamela S. Clark; two daughters, Erica Clark of Carthage, NY, and Daphne Clark and her fiancé, Tim Newberry, of West Virginia; four grandchildren, Brittinie and Brian Marshall, Gage, Blake, and Mason Reisinger; four great-grandchildren, Zayn, Niko, Dahlia, and Oliver; and his sister, Linda Crabtree of Carthage, NY, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two great-granddaughters, Astrid and Alexis; his twin brother, Dennis Clark; his brother, Keith Clark; and three sisters, Lucy Brow, Bonnie LaQuay, and Melody Trickey.
Arrangements are entrusted to Bruce Funeral Home, Black River. In accordance with Darryl’s wishes, he will be cremated. There will be no services at this time. Burial will be held at a later date in Felts Mills Cemetery.
