Cindy K. DeVito, 72, of Brownville, NY, passed away on October 28, 2023 at her home.

She was born on May 20, 1951, in Watertown, NY daughter of Carl E. and Catherine (Doroha) Fowler Sr.  She graduated from IHC.

Cindy was a 911 dispatcher for Jefferson County for several years, before retiring.  She married Chris S. Chapman, her lifetime companion May 11, 2018 at the Brown Mansion.  The couple resided in Brownville.   Chris retired from the Brownville Paper Mill in 2019.

Cindy enjoyed fishing, camping, going to the hunting camp in Harrisville, avid shopper at the dollar stores, she enjoyed spending time with her family and especially the grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending Fowl Night in Smithville.

Among her survivors are her beloved husband, Chris S. Chapman, five children, daughter Tami Simpson, FL, son Giovanni DeVito, Watertown, NY, son Michael DeVito, Gouverneur, NY, daughter Ashley Chapman and her fiancé, Shane Kessler, Brewerton, NY, daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Brett Bartlett, Ozark, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; one brother, Richard Fowler, Miami, FL; a sister, Ann Netto, Columbus, OH, many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents and a brother, Carl E Fowler.

Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home.  It was her wish to be cremated and there will be no services.  Burial will take place at a later date in Brownville Cemetery.
