Cheri Lea Booth Obituary

Cheri Lea Booth, 54, of Watertown, New York, passed away unexpectedly at her home on February 2, 2026. Born in Watertown on August 31, 1971, to Thomas B. Booth Sr. and Donna L. Booth, she was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Watertown High School, Class of 1989.

Cheri was a devoted mother and a deeply cherished “Mema,” roles that filled her heart. Known for her compassion, loyalty, and generosity, Cheri had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen, welcomed, and loved. She believed strongly in giving others second chances and offered kindness freely to anyone who needed it. With her bright spirit and infectious energy, Cheri was truly the light of every room she entered.

Proud of her Irish heritage, Cheri was also a driven and accomplished businesswoman. She owned and operated Shenanigans Irish Pub, General manager of Floridas fine cars & trucks , and later founded Mema’s Manor, a Himalayan and Persian cat breeding business that reflected both her entrepreneurial spirit and her love for animals. Ever eager to care for others, she studied practical nursing and earned certification in phlebotomist.

Cheri is survived by her mother, Donna Booth; her sisters, Nicole Booth, Kelly Boyanski ( Michael Boyanski), sister in-law Sheri Booth-Malcolm,  her brother, Patrick Booth, Amanda Chapman; her children, Jessica Norton,  Justin Norton (Johnna Simser),  Chelsea Booth (Nikolas Kovalik), and Cory Norton  (Amy Wonderly) , Andrew Stoby; and her cherished Grandchildren, Jaiden Booth, Riley Norton, Madison Norton, Allison Norton, Jaivonn Stoby, Jamarion Stoby, Journeigh Norton, and Kolsen Wheeler her Kitties Charlie, Mia & Sable and grand kitties Oakley & Willow She is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews extended family members.

She was predeceased by her father, Thomas B. Booth Sr. (March 7, 2018), and her brother, Thomas B. Booth Jr. (August 6, 2019).

Cheri will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and her unwavering love for her family. Her laughter, generosity, and larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.

Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday, February 9th at Hart & Bruce Funeral Home 117 N Massey St., Watertown.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 4 p.m.at the funeral home.  Please join the family for an Irish Wake at Willies in Dexter following the services at the funeral home.

We ask that attendees wear pink if possible in honor of Cheri’s wishes.
