Charles R. Taylor

Charles R. Taylor, 80, of Watertown, New York, passed away on January 10, 2024. 

At his request, there will be no services held, and arrangements are entrusted to Hart and Bruce Funeral Home in Watertown, New York.

Born on April 7, 1943, in Watertown, he was the son of the late Charles P. and Vivian (Cole) Taylor-Blair. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1960.

Charles was a United States Air Force veteran, having served from 1961 to 1965. He worked for IBM before receiving his Associate’s degree in Management from Jefferson Community College. Charles worked for the Department of Defense as a contract specialist until his retirement in 2014.

He is survived by his son, Charles R. Taylor, of Columbia, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Charles R. Taylor and Caleigh (Thomas) Williamson; sisters, Vyvyan Chrisman of Watertown, New York, and Sonya Pistolese of Tampa, Florida; and brother, Kent (Denise) Blair of Watertown, New York, along with many nieces and nephews

Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Taylor- Osborne.

He was previously married to Joyce Parker of Columbia, South Carolina. 

Also, the family gives their heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Crouch and her daughter, Lyndsey, for the care and comfort given in his last days.
