Aud E. Larsen

Aud E. Larsen, 87, of Watertown, NY, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024, at the Samaritan Medical Center. 

She was born on March 22, 1937, in Fauske, Norway, daughter of Oskar and Annie Olsen and attended school in Norway.

She married Gunnar Larsen of Sulitjelma, Norway, on June 15, 1957. The couple moved to America, where they resided in Watertown. Aud provided child care in her home for many years. The families she served and cared for became part of her extended family over the years. 

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family and spending summers at the cottage at Knobby Knoll in Sackets Harbor. 

Among her survivors are her daughter Ingrid M. Exford of Watertown, NY, a son David A. Larsen of Watertown, NY, a daughter-in-law Laurie A. Larsen of Charleston, South Carolina, four grandchildren Erik L. and Sheilah Larsen, Matthew D. Larsen, Morgan M. Exford, Madisyn L. Exford, a sister and brother-in-law, Gerd and Olaf Kristensen of Fauske, Norway, two brothers and their wives, Karsten and Lillian Olsen of Fauske, Norway, and Odd and Jorun Olsen of Fauske, Norway; as well as her extended family, Carol Exford and her children, several nieces and nephews and cousins. 

Besides her parents and her beloved husband, she is pre-deceased by two brothers, Ole and Liev Olsen, and Johannes and Esther Olsen. 

Calling hours will be held 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 30th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home. 

The funeral will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31st at the funeral home, followed by burial in Brookside Cemetery.  

Friends and family are then welcomed to attend a celebration of life at Dry Hills Ski Center immediately following the burial.
