Adam Bretsch Obituary


Adam H. Bretsch, 51, formerly of Calcium, NY, passed away at his home in Verona, NY on February 3, 2022.

He was born on July 28, 1970 in Watertown, NY, son of Howard E. and Linda L. (Hatch) Bretsch, and he graduated from Indian River Central School in 1988.  
Adam then graduated from North Country Community College in Saranac Lake with an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology and Science.

He started his career as a radiologic technician at Samaritan Medical Center in July of 1990. In 1993, he worked at Suny Upstate Medical Center until 1999, and Northern Litho Inc., as a Lithotripsy Technologist from 1999 until 2005.  For the past sixteen years he has worked as radiologic technologist at Associated Medical Professionals.

Adams was a Star Wars Fanatic! He enjoyed collecting Star Wars memorabilia, attending Star Wars conventions and he had over four thousand followers on his instagram which was dedicated to Star War fans and collectors. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Kansas City Royals, Philadelphia Eagles, and Syracuse Orange.

Among his survivors are his mother and stepfather, Linda L. and Gervin C. Friedrich, Watertown; a sister and her partner, Rhonda E. Bretsch and Liza A. Grover; a brother, Jeremy L. Bretsch, and a nephew, Connor L. Bretsch, all of Calcium.

He is predeceased by his father Howard E. Bretsch.

Calling hours will be held  2 to 4 pm., Saturday, February 12th at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home  117 N. Massey St., Watertown.  

Donations may be made in Adams memory to the 501 st Legion Make-A-Wish Endowment Fund.
