Robert A. Marsden

Robert A. Marsden, 85, of 13976 Military Road, Sackets Harbor, passed away March 24, 2018 at his home where he was under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County and his family.

A Funeral Mass will be said 10 a.m. Friday, April 6 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Sackets Harbor.  Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

He was born on December 1, 1932 in Watertown, son of Robert and Dorothy George Marsden. He attended Watertown High School and then went on to attend Jefferson Community College.

He married Dorolyn Durant on February 27, 1971 in Carthage where the couple resided until they moved to Sackets Harbor in 1981.

Mr. Marsden was a custodian at Jefferson Community College from 1968 to 1984, retiring due to disability.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed woodworking.

Among his survivors are his wife, Dorolyn Marsden, his three children, Robert Marsden, Sackets Harbor, Lorraine Marsden and her companion Steven Beebee, FL, Mary Marsden, Watertown, three grandsons, Brandon, Kane and Dakotah, a brother and sister in law, Guy and Mary Root, Watertown, nieces and nephews.
