Travis Wayne Johnston II (affectionately known as ‘Trav’ to his mother and sisters), a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend, passed away on February 26, 2024 while living in New Orleans, LA.
He was born on November 27, 1996, in Honolulu Hawaii, son of Travis Wayne Johnston and Rachel (Gillette)(Johnston) St. Croix. Travis's life was a vibrant tapestry of passion, kindness, and brilliance.
An avid poet, Travis captivated readers with his way with words and his unique and thoughtful perspective. Travis was an amazing friend to anyone he crossed paths with and could command the room with his wit.
Travis got his love of sports (all things Boston Celtics and New York Giants especially) from his dad; who preceded him in passing.
Travis is survived and deeply missed by his loving mother, Rachel and her husband, Jess, and his adoring sisters, Carleigh and Jessica (Dougherty). He also leaves behind his nephew, Travis, brother-in-law, Mason, his maternal grandparents, several aunts, uncles, cousins and countless extended family members.
Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home. A celebration of Travis’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Bridge House, Louisiana at bridgehouse.org in Travis's memory, honoring his attempts to battle addiction and mental illness.
Travis’s legacy of kindness, laughter, and love for animals will continue to inspire all who knew him. As we bid farewell to this remarkable young man, let us carry forward the light he brought into our lives.
