Sheila M. Kane, of Watertown, New York, passed away unexpectedly on March 23, 2024, at her home.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3rd at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Family Church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
She was born on November 10, 1963, in Watertown, New York, daughter of Gerald and Ann (DeRosia) Corbett. Sheila graduated from Watertown High School and later married John J. Kane, Jr., on December 31, 1992, in Watertown, where the couple continued to reside. She was a devoted homemaker who found joy in playing pool, shooting darts, reading, listening to music, and watching movies.
Sheila is survived by her husband, John J. Kane, Jr., of Brockport, NY eight children, Patricia Thatcher and her companion Jason Thatcher, Watertown, NY, Ashley Raymond ,Watertown, NY, Anne Marie (Todd) Sharpstene, Brockport, NY, Daniel-Patrick Kane, Florida, John (Christina) Kane II, Depew, NY, Sarah (David) Alsworth, Watertown, NY, Molly Brown, Nashville, TN, and Kelsey Kane, Rochester, NY; 19 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, multiple siblings and their spouses, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Mary-Jane Weller, a sister, Candace, and two grandchildren, Violet and Scarlett.
